Coir Mats are made of 100% Coir fiber  and are constructed with a number of machine spun twines, intertwined into a thick strong rope with a high degree of resilience. Rope Nets could be applied for the prevention of rock fall.

The flexibility of the coir mat facilitates the absorption of the kinetic forces released by falling rocks or any other such solid material and dissipating the energy by the resilience of the rope net. In the past, ships would be anchored to jetties using these thick Coir ropes.
